Tasty Treats!
Rainbow Cupcakes
Kids will love these fun treats! All you have to do is grab white cake mix, 6 bowls, and food coloring. Then pour equal amounts of batter in the 6 bowls and mix food coloring in to create the colors of the rainbow. Then pour in a small amount of each color into the cupcake holders and bake. Then top with whipping cream for the cloud!
Pot of Gold Jello
Make some lemon jello squares and put them in a small black bowl and create a pot of gold for desert!
Green Foods
You can dye almost anything green to make it fun for St. Patrick's day! Pancakes, mashed potatoes, milk, and scrambled eggs. Your children will find this very amusing and will love this holiday for all it's crazy foods!
Crafts
Paper Bag Leprechaun
What You'll Need:
Lunch sized paper bag
Scissors
Glue
Green, white, black, orange, and yellow construction paper
2 Wiggle eyes
Crayons
Print out all the templates on the next page. Cut out and trace the pieces onto the colored construction paper indicated on the templates. Glue all the pieces onto the paper bag as pictured. Glue the wiggle eyes onto the face. Draw on the other facial features with the crayons.
Rainbow Streamers
What you'll need:
1 paper plate
Paper streamers or wide ribbon in rainbow colors (red, orange, yellow, green, blue and purple)
Scissors
White craft glue
Piece of ribbon for hanging
Cut a large circle out of the center of the paper plate. You will end up with just the rim of the plate. Cut 1 streamer or ribbon of each color about 18" long. Glue each streamer to the bottom half of the circle. Poke a small hole at the top of the circle and thread a piece of ribbon through it. Tie a loop in the ribbon and hang up the streamers.
Activities
Find The Pot of Gold!
Your children will enjoy a fun scavenger hunt through the house or around the yard! Leave lucky clovers around with clues to the next lucky clover and ultimately to the pot of gold which could be full of candy or a toy they have been wanting or anything that would make them smile!
Leprechaun Visit
When your kids leave for school or outside to play turn a few things upside down and tip over a black pot of "gold" and when your kids come home tell them that a leprechaun has caused some mischief in your home but left his pot of gold! Then have them search for the gold around the house. They will love it!
