Canadian Orders
We do ship most of our products to Canada. However, additional shipping charges and policies do apply. These charges will not be applied at the time of checkout. However, an estimated additional shipping charge will appear during the checkout process. We will call or email you once we receive your order to inform you of the additional shipping charges prior to shipping your order. In addition, orders to Canada must have a matching "Bill To" and "Ship To" address. If your circumstances require special treatment, please call us to make appropriate arrangements. We do not accept personal checks, money orders or cashier's checks. We do accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express.
As we will contact you via email or phone once we know your additional shipping charges, please allow additional processing time for orders to Canada. Delivery time to Canada usually ranges between 4 and 7 business days from the time the order is shipped. For example: The shipping cost to Ontario for a Baby Trend Sit-n-Stand stroller is estimated to cost $40.00 US dollars and will take approximately 7 business days for the arrival.
In certain cases where we have experienced damages from poor product packaging or other challenges delivering a product outside the continental U.S. we will be unable to ship the product. Also, some of our products are drop shipped from the manufacturer. While there are some manufacturers who accomodate addresses outside of the continental U.S., others are not able to do so. Accordingly, our ability to serve you is handled on a product by product basis.
With certain types of products, such as car seats, we are unable to ship a product to Canada because of governmental standards that differ between the U.S. and Canada. In other cases, we are unable to ship a product because of distributor territory agreements. In most cases, we will communicate these limitations on the product page.
Canadian orders are subject to various taxes and fees as they come across the border. The shipping company will collect these fees prior to delivering the order. These taxes and fees depend on the destination (postal code) and total amount of the order. For example: A Baby Trend Sit-n-Stand stroller shipping to Ontario is estimated to be about $80.00 in various fees (brokerage, duty, taxes).
The following list explains the typical charges incurred on Canadian orders (in addition to the higher shipping charges).
- Duties - calculated as a % of the total price and varies by type of product. The duties % for strollers is currently at a rate of approximately 8%.
- GST (Goods and Services Tax) - calculated based on the total value of the goods and services including shipping costs, duties and brokerage fees. GST is approximately 6.5% and is applicable to every order in Canada.
- PST (Provincial Sales Tax). PST is applicable only to customers in certain areas of Canada. PST ranges from 0% to 10% depending on the Province.
- Brokerage Fees - brokerage fees are paid to the company that clears the good through customs and is calculated based on the value of goods. These fees range from $7 to $50. The brokerage fee for most orders is between $25 and $45.

While these costs can be high and, in some cases cost prohibitive, we are anxious to help you if we can and will work hard to get the order to you. In some cases, there are other options depending on where you live. Call us for details.
