Levels of Discovery Nursery Furniture
Before he founded the juvenile product outfit called Levels of Discovery, Jeff Hutsell worked at such companies as Hallmark and the Franklin Mint. At places like these he honed his particular design sense, as well as the humor and whimsy he brings to his products and to his company as a whole. Also before he founded Levels of Discovery, Hutsell had children. Having children allowed him to get a strong sense of what kinds of products he wished to see available for young kids and for their parents. And when he realized he wasn't quite going to find them on the market, he decided to go and make them himself.
First of all, what about that name, Levels of Discovery? Hutsell believes that whenever you make and sell a quality product, that product should have more to it than what's apparent at first glance. Therefore, when you explore the children's products this company puts out, you'll find them full of surprises: tucked away in little corners and nooks are music boxes, moveable parts, elements that swing this way or that or flip upwards. You can even get your child's name printed on one of these products - when she or he finally learns to read, what a surprise that will be. In short, every product from Levels of Discovery includes these levels of discovery, loving details that will translate into countless hours of fun and delight.
Levels of Discovery puts out all manner of furnishings for nurseries and child bedrooms: their products include little tables and chairs, potties and benches, bookcases and mini-vanity sets, hanging racks and even growth charts. Each of these items is awash in vibrant and beautiful colors. Look at them from a distance and they will invite you to come closer; examine them at close range and you'll be enchanted by their details. Many will make you smile, if not laugh out loud. For instance, there's the "His Majesty's" and "Her Majesty's" thrones, which are potty seats decorated to look like chairs belonging to a king and queen. There's the Gettin' Around Bench Seat with Storage, a bench covered with images of colorful trains, planes, boats and other modes of transportation. And then there's the Firefighter Revolving Bookcase, which is shaped like a fire hydrant and adorned with mini-fire trucks.
