Quinny Bassinets and Car Seats
Quinny is a subsidiary of the Dorel Company, the largest juvenile products company in the world, but it's a brand with a distinct style and a trusted reputation all its own. Its strollers, stroller accessories, car seats and bassinets are second to none on the market today.
Early Years 1950-2003
In 1950, Nicolaas (Nick) Quint founded a trading company for small baby products in The Hague The Netherlands.
Subsequently he began importing renowned European brands. In the 60s, Nick Quint introduced his own label of (baby) care products: Quinny! Quint bought a leading Dutch manufacturer of wooden playpens and extended the collection with textiles and baby room decorations. The team grew: enter Quint’s sons Peter, Dick en Mark. Now a family business, Quinny began its focus on product development and innovation. In 1989, the first Quinny buggies and strollers hit the streets.
In 1997 the sporty, foldable Jogger was Quinny’s international breakthrough. Better styling and colouring, combined with inflatable tires, put Quinny ahead of its competition. Quinny earned considerable market share in Europe and is now an established lifestyle brand. After joining the Dorel group in 2001, the stroller segment was restructured and Quinny became a leading stroller brand with global recognition and distribution.
The Past 2004-2008
The 2004 launch of the Buzz and Zapp strollers signaled the start of the Quinny brand as we know it today: strollers that are designed with the urban, stylish parent in mind.
The Zapp entered the stage as one the most compact strollers of its time and the Buzz introduced a remarkable automatic unfolding system. These innovations, combined with futuristic design and styling, completely reshaped the stroller market. Building on the success of the Buzz and Zapp, Quinny continues to launch several products, each with their own signature style and feature set.
Over the past few years the Quinny family has grown tremendously with the introductions of the Moodd and the Zapp Xtra with Folding Seat.
Quinny strollers offer parents the support to take on the challenge of urban life and travel with their child in style. Quinny has offered a steady stream of limited editions for parents with an appetite for fashion.
In 2009, our black and white edition hit the streets; in which Quinny was the first offering all-black strollers.
More recently, in 2011, Quinny Design was introduced, the first editions inspired by the urban nomad style of contemporary, young professionals that are always on the move. They explore the big city and experience multicultural urban living firsthand.
In 2012, Quinny launched a limited edition Moodd in partnership with Romero Britto, a globally recognized Brazilian artist. His designs are bright, colorful, and most importantly stand out.

One Quinny product you'll find all over the place is the sleek and stylish Quinny Senzz. The Senzz comes in four varieties: the Lagoon, the Spring, the Star and the Flame. It's a stroller you can easily carry because it's so lightweight, and one you can easily maneuver even while walking quickly because it's so responsive and easy to control. The front wheels will spin around all the way, or you can lock them for when you want to go really fast. You can fold the Senzz up all the way with just one hand, too, and once it's folded it will take up hardly any room at all. Yet for all its compactness it's also strong, and can easily handle a child weighing up to 50 pounds. Better yet, the seat will contour to your child and recline to his or her liking, so the ride will be as comfortable as can be. Another excellent choice in strollers is the Quinny Buzz. The Buzz, also for children weighing up to 50 pounds, has a spacious and fully cushioned seat, rear tires filled with air for a smooth ride, a handlebar you can adjust according to your height, a sun canopy, a roomy basket for storage, a net to keep the bugs out, a cup holder, a travel bag, a footmuff and many more features besides. (In fact, there are too many to include them all here.) The Buzz also introduced something completely new to the stroller market, a real timesaver: the ability to automatically unfold itself! The Dreami bassinet is another tremendous product from Quinny, which will hold a baby weighing up to 15 pounds. You can carry it by itself or you can create your own travel system by attaching it to the Quinny Senzz or the Quinny Buzz strollers. (That way, you won't have to wake your baby up to place her in her stroller.) And the mattress inside the Dreami is so soft, and its foot cover is so warm, that your baby will probably fall asleep in no time.
