Stroller Accessories: Something for Every Parent and Every Baby
When you're out shopping for a baby stroller your main concerns, of course, should be the safety and steadiness of the stroller, as well as its strength and durability. The size of the product, the comfort of the seating, and the ease with which you can fold and unfold the stroller are also factors for many parents. What people don't take into consideration in many instances are stroller accessories. And while these things aren't as important as the items listed above, stroller accessories can add convenience to the stroller experience, can greatly enhance the pleasure your child derives from riding in the stroller, and can even make pushing the stroller more fun.

One main category of stroller accessories has to do with protecting your child from the weather. If you haven't bought an umbrella stroller, then a weather shield – a canopy to protect your bundle of joy from the sun and rain and maybe even the snow – is a must. Just be sure any such canopy you buy is an exact fit before you make your purchase! (Remember that a weather shield for a single stroller is different from a weather shield for a double stroller.) A bug cover is a kind of mesh screen that will cover the baby entirely from head to toe, perfect for those humid evenings when the insects are biting but you still want to go for a walk with Junior. And how about foot muffs to keep those tiny feet warm when temperatures are icy?
Snack bags and snack trays are perfect for longer errands when your child might get a little hungry on the way. You can place the food on the tray and your child can happily munch away. Changing kits are a good idea as well: without them, you could be in for a long walk back home. And extra storage compartments are often necessary for Mom and Dad, especially if you're not going to be bringing your briefcase or purse or whatever you usually use for storage with you when you're walking the baby.
To make your infants even more comfortable, you might consider a car seat adapter so they can ride in the seats that they're used to riding in. Or, to increase your baby's level of comfort, you might try buying extra support for your baby's head or extra padding for the stroller seat.
